1. Introduction

Welcome to Columbus Tree Felling. By accessing or using our website and services in Kempton Park, East Rand, Johannesburg and surrounding Gauteng areas, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

Columbus Tree Felling provides professional services including:

• Tree felling and removal
• Tree trimming and pruning
• Stump removal
• Site clearing and garden maintenance
• Landscaping and Garden Design

All services are subject to availability and site inspection where required.

3. Quotations & Pricing

• All quotes are free unless stated otherwise
• Quotes are valid for 14 days (unless specified)
• Pricing may vary based on:
  • Tree size and condition
  • Accessibility
  • Safety risks
  • Equipment required

 $$$$ Final pricing may be confirmed after onsite assessment.

4. Bookings & Scheduling

• Bookings are confirmed upon acceptance of a quote
• Customers must ensure:
  • Clear access to the work area
  • Removal of obstacles (vehicles, valuables, etc.)
• We reserve the right to reschedule due to:
  • Weather conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Operational delays

 

5. Customer Responsibilities

     The client agrees to:

• Provide accurate information regarding the job
• Inform us of underground services (pipes, cables, irrigation)
• Obtain any necessary permissions if required (e.g., complex removals)

    Columbus Tree Felling will not be held liable for damages resulting from undisclosed hazards.

6. Safety & Liability

     While we take every precaution:

• Tree felling is inherently hazardous
• We are not liable for:
  • Pre-existing structural weaknesses
  • Hidden root damage
  • Natural tree movement beyond control

     At Columbus Tree Felling, we maintain safe tree removal and working practices to minimise risk at all times.

7. Damage Disclaimer

• We are not responsible for minor, unavoidable damage such as:
  • Lawn disturbance
  • Garden bed impact
  • Pavers slightly displaced or cracked
• Any major damage claims must be reported within 24 hours

 

8. Waste Removal

• Green waste removal is included only if specified in the quote
• If excluded, debris will be left onsite unless otherwise arranged

 

9. Payment Terms

• Payment is due:
  • Upon completion of work OR
  • As agreed in writing
• We reserve the right to:
  • Charge deposits for large jobs
  • Withhold services for non-payment

 

10. Cancellations

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
• Late cancellations may incur a fee

 

11. Website Use

   By using our website, you agree not to:

• Use it for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access
• Copy or reproduce content without permission

 

12. Privacy & Data Protection

    We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act   (POPIA).

• Loss of property value
